Are you still in the right place in your career?

As we approach the halfway mark of the year, I found myself reflecting on the work I’ve been doing with my clients as a Career & Leadership Coach – and asking questions I think every purpose-driven professional wonders at times – questions I ask myself at least once a year:

“Is my work still making a difference?”
“Am I still in the right place in my career?”

My answers?

Yes. Unequivocally, yes.

I help people navigate the most complex emotional terrain of their careers – deciding whether to stay, go, or grow.

But more than that, I help them figure out what's true, what's right, and what's the right next step for them in their unique situation.

And the truth is, none of those answers are easy to find when you're in the thick of it.

Why Do People Choose Coaching?

Some of my clients come to me because:

➡️ They’re facing tough career decisions and don’t want to make the wrong move.

➡️ They’re battling imposter syndrome and wondering if they’re the only one who feels this way.

➡️ They’re leading others through uncertainty and pressure – and questioning their own leadership capabilities.

➡️ They’ve found themselves in workplace dynamics that are quietly eroding their confidence.

And under all of those challenges?

They just want to feel like themselves again.

They just want to feel like their work matters again.

They just want to know they matter again.

My Clients' Career Challenges This Year

The challenges my clients have brought to coaching this year are layered, complex, and deeply personal.

💪 They're trying to make thoughtful decisions in high-pressure environments.

💪 They're working to find the focus and resilience to keep meeting the demands where they are.

💪 And while they’re interested in career growth, they’re also wondering how they could possibly find the time or capacity to take on more.

And they're carrying a quiet question underneath it all:

“Is it me or my job?”

This is the heart of nearly every Confidence Catalyst session I’ve held this year – and here’s what I’ve noticed:

➡️ Most clients start out convinced it’s them.

➡️ They think they need to push harder, fix themselves, or figure it out alone.

But in many cases, the most effective solution isn’t about doing more. It’s about asking better questions and putting down the weight they were never meant to carry.

How Do you Find the Answer?

This is the messy middle a lot of us sit in for too long.

We’re uncomfortable, overextended, maybe even exhausted – but we can’t tell if the problem is ourselves, our role, our management chain, or something bigger – like a skill, qualification, or bit of education we need (hello, Imposter Syndrome).

If that's where you are right now, I created something to help.

It’s short, insightful, and designed to help you sort through the noise.

You’ll get a personalized result that helps you see whether what you're feeling is rooted in mindset, environment, or both – and what to do about it.

It’s not a magic answer. But it is a powerful first step. Plus you'll also be able to download your copy of the Clarity over Chaos Workbook, which has seven career clarity explorations to get even deeper into what's going on and help guide the next move that's right for you.

I'm not going to collect your quiz results, but I'd love to hear what result you get. Feel free to comment or send me a message to share what landed with you.

Next week, I'll share more about what my clients actually get from coaching – and the one thing almost everyone tells me they wish they'd done sooner.
