What happens when you're confident in your capabilities while simultaneously worried about being exposed for not being capable enough?
Most of my clients call that imposter syndrome.
Most of my clients feel alone in their imposter syndrome-like thoughts, even though studies show that at least 70% of us will experience imposter syndrome in our professional lives.

Maybe that’s because most people are used to it or feel like they're managing well enough.
In response to that voice that tells them they need to do more, they overwork and overachieve.
They may even mistakenly attribute their successes and motivation to the voice that’s pushing them to prove that they’re good enough.
But the success that comes with imposter syndrome is limited. It can only take you so far, and the price you pay is far greater. The ROI just isn’t there.
Imposter syndrome stifles career potential & stunts career growth.
Sometimes imposter syndrome will become really unbearable after you make a big move – go after the promotion or accept a new position. Instead of feeling the excitement or satisfaction that you expect, imposter syndrome can cause intense fear and guilt, leading you to second-guess your decisions.
Imposter syndrome can sound like this:
❓ Should I have just stuck it out?
❓ Did I take the easy way out?
❓ Did I fail at my job in some way?
❓ What should I have done differently?
Thoughts like these are designed to keep you stuck right where you are, so you don't have to face the potential failure that comes with new challenges. One of the ways imposter syndrome keeps you from trying is by telling you that you can't do it, that you don't measure up.
You probably have lots of evidence to the contrary, but imposter syndrome disregards and invalidates all your evidence of past success.
I love helping clients put down their imposter syndrome thoughts and learn better ways to support and motivate themselves.
If you’re ready to let go of imposter syndrome and see what’s really possible for you, schedule time to talk with me today.
